What is a Moscow mule?

Moscow mule is a drink or, more clearly, a liquor primarily vodka-based. There is no history behind why this name calls it, but it has its origin in the late 1940s when it was also called vodka buck. This drink is a carbonated drink that consists of vodka liquor, some ginger beer and lime juice.

The most remarkable thing about this drink is that it is served in a copper mug. That would be interesting for you because I have mostly seen liquor or alcohol or even gin served in glass-based vessels. The major reason to serve it in the copper mug is that copper has cooling properties. It gives off the cold temperature by absorbing the heat from the liquid poured into it. Plus, how can we forget that this drink is usually served in copper mugs? The mugs are designed in different ways. Some are with handles, while some are not. It is a traditional way, by the way!
